Cougar Girls, Boys Defeat Union Farmer Swimmers

The Cranford High School girls and boys swim teams overwhelmed the Union Farmers on December 12. The girls recorded a 77-0 sweep, while the boys won 84-49.

For the girls, Caroline Tireney, Daniela Goldate, Haley Concannon and Ava Morrison recorded a time of 2:22.2 in the 200-medley relay. Lily McIntyre, Molly Regan, Sasha Paulyson and Gemma Grande finished in 2:25.66. In the 200-freestyle, Maddy Minchak finished in 2:15.31 and Kristen Shave finished in 2:27.18. Taryn Braine recorded a time of 2:34.59 in the 200-Individual Medley and Kyla Yzabella Virata had a time of 2:35.88.

Virata had a time of 27.45 in the 50free and Paulyson finished the 100butterfly in 1:14.38. In the 100-free, Shave touched at 1:07.1 and Grande finished in 1:12.84. Addison Freeman recorded a time of 6:21.48 in the 500-free. In the 200-free relay, Lylah Wilhelm, Brielle Nachtman, Mila Melikan and Braine finished in 2:03.88. Freeman, Ava Reeves, Goldate and Shave finished in 2:04.31. Paulyson finished the 100backstroke in 1:12.39 and Wilhelm finished the 100-breaststroke in 1:11.79.

In the boys meet, Dom Lotito, Liam Soyka, Arturo Gomez and Charlie Otten touched at 1:47.15 in the 200medley relay. Dave Aulson finished the 200-free in 2:14.77. Gomez had a time of 2:25.3 in the 200-Individual Medley and Tom Villarreal came in at 2:36.91. Otten and Aulson finished the 50-free in respective times of 25.13 and 26.36. Otten recorded a time of 1:01.12 in the 100-free.

Lotito recorded a time of 5:44.23 in the 500-free. Aulson, Otten, Villarreal and Soyka finished the 200medley relay in 1:40.31. Lotito finished the 100-backstroke in 1:00.19 and Ryan Feldman finished in 1:11.2. Soyka completed the 100-breastroke in 1:06.15.
