Blue Devils Rally to Top Summit in Soccer in OT
An early goal by the opposition put the No. 8 Westfield High School girls soccer team into a catch-up mode during a regular-season game against the Summit Hilltoppers at Gary Kehler Stadium in Westfield on October 22. Although the Blue Devils stepped up their pace immediately after the firsthalf goal, their first goal came in the second half to send the game to overtime then sophomore forward Ava Jasina on an assist from junior midfielder Ashley Yenawine tapped in the winner to earn the 13-1 Blue Devils a 2-1 victory over the 11-4-1 Hilltoppers.
