The second-seeded North Hunterdon Lions defeated the 14-8 Scotch Plains-Fanwood Raiders, 6118, in the quarterfinal round of the North Jersey, Section 2, Group 4 Tournament in Annandale on February 5. The Raiders claimed victories in three of the 14 bouts. John Boyle pinned Dave Christie at 190-lbs. Ryan Ricci pinned Declan McGuinness in 1:38 at 144-lbs and Ethan Phillips received a forfeit at 150-lbs.
Joe Celentano (113) pinned Justin Ellazar in 1:55, Matt Esposito (126) pinned Tristan Sirmans in 1:51, Shane Wysocki (132) pinned Anthony Aponti in 5:26, Grant Goldan (138) won an 8-0, majority decision over Alex Ho and Anthony DeSimone (285) beat Paul Boyle, 8-3. Cayden Wadle (106), Aiden Yarussi (120), Casson Young (157), Brian Wilson (165), Evan Kinney (175) and Owen Dandeo (215) all won by forfeit.
