Blue Devils Edge Kent Place, 2-1, Raiders, 2-1, in Girls Volleyball

As they had in their first meeting in Westfield on September 13, the Westfield High School volleyball Blue Devils had to recover from a Game 1 defeat to overcome the Kent Place Dragons, 2-1, in Summit on October 3. The Dragons won Game 1, 25-18, but the Blue Devils won Game 2, 25-20, and Game 3, 25-18. On October 5, the Blue Devils found themselves in the same situation when they went to Scotch Plains and set up against the Raiders After dropping Game 1, 25-23, they roared back to win Game 2, 25-11, then had a battle in Game 3 but prevailed 25-21.
