Blue Devil Gridders Hold Off Somerville Surge to Win 31-29
Shutting down the run and grounding an explosive passing attack was of primary concern for the Westfield football Blue Devils when they hosted the Somerville Pioneers at Gary Kehler Stadium in Westfield on October 7. The Blue Devil defense did just that with the running game, especially in the first half, but had to endure an ever-increasing aerial attack to emerge with a 31-29 victory.
