Raiders’ ‘Sizzling’ Pitching Silences Blue Devil Bats, 5-1
Sizzling pitching blazing out of the right hand of junior pitcher Maddie Bogart was just too much for the Westfield Blue Devils, who visited Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School for a softball showdown on April 28. Out of the 21 outs recorded, Bogart faced only 22 batters, retiring the first 10 Blue Devils before yielding a double to Angelina Tessitore, and recorded 15 strikeouts as the Raiders went on to claim a 5-1 victory.
