WESTFIELD -- This May, Westfield Community Players transports you back to 1981 in Larry Shue’s The Nerd. It was a time when people danced to records and used complicated answering machines. We also see characters struggling with careers and love lives just as folks do now. Experiencing The Nerd is like discovering a lost gem of a sitcom pilot that never became a series.
