No. 6 Blue Devil Icemen Win UCT Crown
The No. 6 ranked Westfield High School boys ice hockey team, ranked No. 1 in Public Schools, captured its third-straight Union County Tournament (UCT) championship on January 23. The 12-1 Blue Devils, whose only loss was to Bridgewater-Raritan on December 23, defeated the 4-9-1 Summit Hilltoppers, 4-0, in the UCT semifinals then on January 23, they pulled away from the Governor Livingston Highlanders with three goals in the third period to grab a 7-3 victory and the crown.
