Four outstanding teams remained to vie for the Group 4 Championship to be held at Franklin High School in Somerset on November 23 and the No. 4 Westfield girls soccer Blue Devils wanted to be one of the final two when they hosted the No. 17 Livingston Lancers in the Group 4 semifinal at Gary Kehler Stadium in Westfield on November 15. Despite a heavily contested game, all it took was one goal to decide the outcome and the 19-3-1 Lancers became the team to advance to the final with a 1-0 victory over the 18-1 Blue Devils.
