Iggies Jolt St. Sebastian, 12-6, For St. Bart’s Softball Crown
Running the table was definitely on the minds of both teams when St. Ignatius squared off with St. Sebastian for the 47thAnnual St. Bart’s Oldtimers Men’s Softball League Championship at Brookside Park in Scotch Plains on Labor Day (September 1). Only one team could claim the prize and after struggling for seven innings with a 44 deadlock, St. Ignatius caught fire in the top of the eighth inning with seven runs then cruised to a 12-6 triumph to earn the title.
