Intensity has been heightened as the regular season has been winding down and the St. Bart’s Oldtimers Men’s playoffs is just around the corner. Just the night before, St. Wolfgang and St. Vincent battled to a 9-9, eightinning deadlock then on August 6, with two outs and runners on first and third in the bottom of the seventh inning, Charlie Baier looped a single just inches out of the reach of the second baseman as Nick Dominquez scored to earn St. George an 8-7 triumph over St. Justin at Forest Road Park in Fanwood.
