Branchburg Stops Marlboro For Ripken 12U State Title, 5-2
Two teams, the Marlboro Mustangs from PoolAand the Branchburg Bulldogs from Pool B, managed to successfully battle through stiff competition to meet face-to-face for the Cal Ripken, Jr. State Championship at Gumbert Field 2 in Westfield on July 12. A pair of key defensive plays and a three-run outburst in the top of the sixth inning earned the Bulldogs a 52 victory and the crown.
