CRANFORD — The Cranford Township Committee signed, sealed and delivered its resolution on affordable housing Monday, meeting the state’s deadline on its final day. The township submitted its Housing Element and Fair Share Housing Plan to the state Department of Community Affairs (DCA), which is holding municipalities to strict deadlines to submit their plans, or put themselves at risk of state intervention. Cranford’s plan was originally reviewed by the township committee in early June, and signed off on by the planning board on June 26.
