Blue Devils Rout Columbia, Stun Hunt. Cent. in Lax Semi
The eighth-seeded Columbia High School girls lacrosse Cougars were expecting a rough ride when they entered Gary Kehler Stadium in Westfield on June 2 to face the topseeded, No. 13 Blue Devils in the quarterfinal round of the North Jersey, Group 4 playoffs but they did not expect to get it as quickly as it did. In their first meeting on April 4, the Cougars had a 7-4, halftime lead but ended up on the short side of a 15-9 score but this time the Blue Devils bombarded them right from the beginning en route to an overwhelming 19-7 victory.
