WESTFIELD — Fairview Cemetery and Arboretum will host its popular Notable Residents Walking Tour this Sunday, June 1, at 2 p.m., highlighting the history and character of those who helped shape the community over the years. Fairview Cemetery is a 105acre oasis and the final resting place known for its serene setting, its tranquility and peace. These grounds hold many secrets about the contributions of those who preceded today’s residents, and their lives well-lived.
The walking tour will be led by Meg Wastie, a local historian with a background in teaching and a degree in Museum Professions. Ms. Wastie will highlight the lives of Westfield residents laid to rest at Fairview. The walking tour is estimated to take 90 minutes.
Those interested are asked to register online at friendsoffairview1.org. Registration is now available.
