AREA — Advocacy groups from across the state that do not want to see U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) gain a stronger foothold in New Jersey are asking Union County’s governing body to reconsider auctioning off an underutilized jail that some say will likely be turned into a new detention center if the property is sold.
