WESTFIELD — Westfield Public Schools Superintendent Raymond González, Ed.D., provided updates on the upcoming referendum vote during Tuesday’s school board meeting, laying out the specifics on what voters will see on their ballots comeTuesday,April 15. After feedback from community groups, the district decided to break the referendum vote into two sections: the first to fund a full-day kindergarten program, and the second to cover major infrastructure updates and the expansion of special-education offerings across all age groups. The New Jersey State Department of Education will report the exact dollar amount of aid it will provide for the projects in late February,whichwilldeterminetheoverall tax increase for residents.
