Blue Devils Lose to Ridgewood, Top Montclair, Fall to Randolph

The Ridgewood Maroon girls lacrosse team defeated theWestfield Blue Devils, 14-6, on May 14. Two days later, the Blue Devils topped Montclair, 16-8, then on May 18 they fell victim to the Randolph Rams, 11-5.

Lucy Mineo netted three goals and added four draw controls and three ground balls for the Blue Devils against Ridgewood. Gillian Cohen had a goal and an assist. Abi Mokrzycki scored once and had nine draws and two ground balls. Juliana Molinelli had a goal and an assist. Maeve Wojcik scooped three ground balls and had a draw control. Erin Hazard had four draw controls and four ground balls. Kate Watson had two draws and two ground balls. Sara Rooney scooped two ground balls. Goalkeeper Kaitlyn Czarnecki made 11 saves.

Katie Adams led Ridgewood with three goals, four draws and three ground balls. Grace Sullivan had three goals. Reise Doherty had two goals and an assist. Kailey Kennedy scored twice. Stella Cuneo had a goal and two assists. Samantha LaBier had a goal and an assist as did Lindsay Schlatter. Kiera Schwartz scored once.

In the win over Montclair, Alice Manzo had a big afternoon with five goals, two assists, four draw controls and a pair of ground balls. Cohen finished with three goals, an assist and two ground balls. Mineo had two goals, two assists and two ground balls. Mokrzycki netted two goals, three draws and two ground balls. Molinelli scored twice and scooped a ground ball. Watson finished with a goal, seven draw controls and two ground balls. Sara Rooney and Maddy Coen each had two ground balls. Skylar Abo and Hazard each had one ground ball. Czarnecki recorded eight saves.

Aven Hodgson led Montclair with three goals. Olivia Nicoll had two goals, two assists and four draws. Liz Geordano had two goals, an assist and seven draws. Delilah Nicoll scored once and Keira Griswold had an assist. Keeper Sefina Morrison recorded seven saves.

Cohen and Molinelli each were credited with a goal and an assist against Randolph. Mineo had a goal, assist, draw control and a ground ball. Mokrzycki scored once and added two ground balls and four draw controls. Hazard scooped a ground ball.
