As documented in the Union County HAWK, our local communities are frantically building without involvement of the majority of residents. There does not appear to be any coordination by town mayors as to the cumulative impact of massive building in Cranford, Garwood, Westfield, Scotch Plains, Fanwood and Plainfield. This includes concerns about infrastructure, environmental threats, wildlife displacement, schools, traffic congestion, and global warming realities. Turning our small villages into cities is not why the majority of us chose to live and raise our families here.
