Cavan Donnelly, a rising sixth grader at Roosevelt Middle School, was honored at the US open for achieving the No. 3 ranking in the United States Tennis Association (USTA) Eastern’s Boys 12U division as a result of his tournament performance throughout the past year.

He celebrated his achievement with other top-performing Eastern juniors at the 2023 USTA Eastern Junior Awards Gala held at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, NY on August 28. Cavan trains at the Mountainside Racquet Club and also had the opportunity to spend three weeks this summer training at the JC Ferrero TennisAcademy in Alicante, Spain
