SOM Cougars Jolt WF Blue In N. Providence 12U Gold, 7-2

Playoff time was just a week away so both teams were looking to improve their defensive and offensive skills when the Westfield baseball 12U Blue hosted the South Orange-Maplewood (SOM) Cougars in New Providence Gold League play at Gumbert Field 1 in Westfield on July 13. The SOM 12U Cougars capitalized on several Westfield throwing errors, while mixing in a base-stealing spree, to score six of their runs during a two-inning stretch en route to a 7-2 victory.
