A strong second-quarter offensive gave the fourth-seeded Cranford High School boys lacrosse team a relatively comfortable advantage over the 13th-seeded Old Tappan Knights in the first round of the North Jersey, Group 2 Tournament at Memorial Field in Cranford on May 28. But after witnessing a bit of a scare in the third quarter, the 14-6 Cougars awakened to capture a 12-7 victory.
