The Westfield High School girls lacrosse Blue Devils got a golden opportunity to give their reserve players plenty of playing time when they hosted the 13-6 Princeton Tigers at Kehler Stadium in Westfield on May 21. The Blue Devils stuffed five goals in the first quarter and did the same in the second en route to a 16-2 triumph. The very next day, the visiting No. 6, 14-5 Blue Devils came through big again and demolished 12-4 Montgomery, 18-2. Nine different Blue Devils struck gold and team captain Gillian Cohen notched three goals and added a pair of assists and a draw. Kate Cymbor finished with three goals, an assist, three ground balls, three draws and two forced turnovers. Kate Paris scored three goals and added a forced turnover and a ground ball. Lorelei McGorty scored twice and added two forced turnovers, three draws and a ground ball. Eloise Murphy had a goal, assist, four ground balls and two forced turnovers. Carolina Corcoran recorded a goal, assist and two draws. Grace Simms had a goal and three ground balls. Nicole DiMattina scored once.
