Vikings Oust Blue Devils, 7-1, In UCT 2nd Round Softball
Union Catholic sophomore pitcher Brooklyn Daikalo went the distance and limited the eighth-seeded Westfield softball Blue Devils to seven hits and one walk, while striking out nine to lead the ninth-seeded Vikings to a 7-1 victory in the second round of the Union County Tournament in Westfield on May 8. The win would set up a quarterfinal game in Clark on May 12 against the topseeded AL Johnson Crusaders, who shut out the 17th-seeded Linden Tigers, 16-0.
