The No. 10 AL Johnson High School softball Crusaders defeated the Jonathan Dayton Bulldogs, 8-5, on April 21. Winning pitcher Cassie Conforti recorded eight strikeouts, while losing pitcher Julie Santangelo recorded nine strikeouts. Two days later, the 12-1 Crusaders stopped the Westfield Blue Devils, 4-1, in Clark. Conforti recorded 10 strikeouts.
