WESTFIELD— On Friday, May 8, 2026 the Westfield Historical Society will have its 58thAnnual Dinner Event at the Echo Lake Country Club. The annual general membership meeting will start at 5:30 pm, and social/cocktail hour will begin at 5:45 p.m. followed by dining, presentations, and activities. All are encouraged to attend. During the event, the President’s, Trustees’, and Volunteer Award Recipients for 2026 will be conferred.
This year, the Westfield Historical Society President’s Award will be awarded to Lauren Barr, Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of The Leader. The WHS Trustees’Award will be awarded posthumously toArlene Soong, WHS Trustee and Miller Cory volunteer. The VolunteerAward will be awarded to Ruby Saltzman of Westfield High School. These awards recognize their individual and combined efforts in preserving, interpreting, and encouraging interest in Westfield’s history.Guests are invited to enjoy cocktails and dinner, bid on great silent auction items, take chances on the wine pull, tricky tray, and 50/50 raffle, and test their Westfield history knowledge in a Q&A game.
