Raiders Beat Montville, 13-8; Edge Old Bridge Laxers, 5-4

Opening the season with a win was a nice start but following up with another was even better. The Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School girls lacrosse team went on the offensive immediately in its home opener against the Montville Mustangs and it paid off with a 13-8 victory on March 31. Two days later on April 2, only one goal was scored in the fourth quarter but that was all it took for the 2-0 Raiders to slip by the Old Bridge Knights, 5-4, in Scotch Plains.
