Ann P. Robinson
Obituaries

Ann P. Robinson

Ann P. Robinson,
Beloved Mother and Grandmother

Ann Partridge Robinson, 95, died peacefully on March 22, 2026, at Center for Hope Hospice and Palliative Care in Scotch Plains, New Jersey. Prior to moving to the Center for Hope, Ann had resided in Westfield, New Jersey, for five decades.

Ann was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, on July 13, 1930, to the late Russell and Ruth (Powell) Partridge. She was raised in Scranton alongside her cherished sisters, Jane and Ruth. The Partridge and Robinson families were longtime friends who often traveled together during the summers. In high school, a romance blossomed between Ann and Phil, and they married in 1955. After living for several years in the Midwest, they eventually settled in Westfield, where they built a life centered on family, community, and faith.

In addition to being a homemaker extraordinaire, Ann generously shared her time and talents as a volunteer and board member with numerous community organizations, including the Westfield Day Care Center, the Westfield United Fund, the Westfield Foundation, Youth & Family Counseling Service, and the Ginkgo Twig of Muhlenberg Medical Center.

A devoted member of the Presbyterian Church of Westfield for 59 years, Ann served in many areas of church life, including education, stewardship, fellowship, worship, and landscaping. In recent years, she was an active member of the Senior Network Group, helping to plan events, services, and gatherings for fellow congregants.

Although she was a faithful servant to her community and church, family always came first for Ann. Her happiest moments were when her family gathered at her home for a meal, the holidays, or a special occasion. Affectionately known as “Dyah” to her grandchildren, Ann was a steadfast and attentive presence. She kept track of everything that was going on in her grandchildren’s lives and frequently served as a trusted confidant. For many years, Ann and her sisters organized annual family gatherings, which came to be known as the Partridge Family Reunion, bringing together relatives from along the East Coast for weekends filled with fun and fellowship.

Ann also cherished her summers in Maine, where she enjoyed time with family and friends in the Pemaquid Point region. Although she was unable to travel to Maine in recent years, she remained a devoted reader of the local weekly newspaper until her final days.

Ann was predeceased by her parents; her sister, Jane Conrad; and her husband of 47 years, Philip E. Robinson, Jr. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Philip and Lori Robinson of Greenwich, Connecticut; her daughter and son- in- law, Jane and Patrick Collins of Westfield, New Jersey; her beloved grandchildren, David Collins, William Collins, Emma Robinson, and Henry Robinson; her sister, Ruth Haslam of San Antonio, Florida; her sister-in-law, Ann Louise Ertman of Damariscotta, Maine; several nieces and nephews; and her extraordinary and loving caregiver of eight years, Marina Gelashvili.

The family would like to acknowledge the staff at Center for Hope Hospice and Palliative Care, who provided wonderful care to Ann during her final years.

A celebration of life will be held on June 2 at 11 a.m. at the Presbyterian Church in Westfield, with final internment taking place in Scranton, PA at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made the Presbyterian Church in Westfield or Center for Hope Hospice in Scotch Plains, NJ.
