Blue Devil Swim Girls Won UCT; Kavanagh Second Team All-State
A huge step forward was taken by the Westfield High School girls swim team this season. With the outstanding efforts from junior Jane Kavanagh and the addition of a wealth of talented depth from a group of sophomores and freshmen, the Blue Devils turned their 9-5 record from last year into an overall 11-2 record, were 8-0 in Union County, gained revenge on a dual-meet thrashing from last year, won the Union County Tournament (UCT) title and finished the season ranked No. 10.
