Featuring a very young and inexperienced team it would be quite apparent that it would be a rough ride for the Westfield boys basketball team to compete in a county that would have four or five teams constantly ranked in the top-20 and a few others clinging on the fringe. The Blue Devils had a key player, senior Connor Whelan, injured early in the season but went with what they had and finished with a 9-19 record.
