The Union Catholic Vikings girls basketball team caught the hosting Cranford Cougars off-guard with a 20-6, first-quarter run and continued to post a 57-48 victory on January 20. Elle Majewski led the 7-6 Vikings with 16 points, including five 3-pointers, eight rebounds, three assists and two blocks. Lily Costello led the 8-7 Cougars with 23 points (4 3-pointers, 3-for-4 free throws), eight rebounds, an assist and a steal.
