Maeve Maloney, daughter of Ruth and Jerry Maloney of Westfield, and Daniel Duarte, son of Alberto and Gladys Duarte of Sayreville, were married May 17, 2025, 4:30 pm at Perona Farms in Andover, NJ. Rob Lutskus, cousin of the bride, officiated. Her father, Gerald Maloney Jr. walked her down the aisle. The bride wore a Willowby by Watters lace strapless gown and a floor length veil sprinkled with blue embroidered flowers. She also wore pearl cowgirl boots, necklace and her grandmother’s bracelet. Maeve carried a colorful bouquet which included tea roses, daisies, alpine sea holly, Gilli flowers, sweet William, and dahlias along with the couple’s favorite succulents, and a tiny blue angel charm.
Sisters Morgan and Muriel Maloney served as bridesmaids along with high school friend Jes Sipe and college friend Annabel Walter. The bridesmaids wore various shades of blue and carried bouquets similar to the bride’s.
The groom wore a white jacket with camouflage lining and his cowboy boots and Stetson, as did his father and brother. The groomsmen wore black suits with blue ties and included Daniel’s brother, Alberto Duarte, friends Jake Mohl & Matt Salvatore, and brother-in-law, Collin McDonald.
Daniel was escorted down the aisle by his parents, Gladys and Alberto, while mother of the bride, Ruth Maloney, was escorted by her new son-in-law, Collin McDonald. The couple expressed their own personal vows in the field outside the barn on a beautiful sunny day.
The reception followed the ceremony in the Barn at Perona Farms where the DJ kept the dance floor full all night. The couple will reside in their recently purchased home. Maeve is a Physician’s Assistant at Newark Beth Israel’s emergency department while Daniel is a nurse in RWJ Somerset’s emergency department, which is where they met. They will honeymoon in Africa in 2026.
