No. 2 West Essex Knights Shutout Blue Devils; Old Bridge Falls to Westfield in Field Hockey
Aware of the very stiff competition they would be facing when the No. 2 West Essex Knights strutted into Gary Kehler Stadium on September 29, the field hockey Blue Devils wanted to, at least, hold their own. And they did for a while until the big Knight machine just wore them down en route to an 80 shutout. On October 4, however, the 5-7-1 Blue Devils stunned the hosting, 10-2 Old Bridge Knights, 3-2.
