WESTFIELD — Plans to expand the parking lot and add new restrooms, storage and meeting spaces to the Houlihan Sid Fay athletic fields on Lamberts Mill road came one step closer to fruition on Tuesday when the Westfield Town Council voted to introduce a $2.3 million bond ordinance that, if approved, will be used to finance the long-awaited improvements.
