Jeffrey Bash
Jeffrey Bash, 83, passed away suddenly on Monday, September 22nd at his home in Westfield, New Jersey. Born in Staten Island, he met his wife, Debbie, in the Hamptons and moved to Westfield over 40 years ago to raise their family.
Jeff was a very accomplished businessman. After attending Oberlin University and passing all the Actuarial Exams he worked for New York Life Insurance Company rising to the position of Vice President. He retired after almost 35 years and then became a business consultant so that he could help companies thrive. In his free time, Jeff enjoyed nothing more than being with his family. He looked forward every day to seeing his grandchildren. He was a true family man, and a championship bridge player.
Jeff is predeceased by his daughter, Mary.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Debbie; children, Jimmy (Eva), Jenny (David) , Judy (Bob), and Kate (Chaz); grandchildren, Julia, Chloe, Bobby, Rain, Charlie, and Mary; his former wife, Joyce; and his devoted Yorkipoo, Emma. The visitation will take place on Thursday, September 25, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Dooley Colonial Home, 556 Westfield Ave., Westfield, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 26, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Helen R.C. Church, 1600 Rahway Ave, Westfield, NJ 07090. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Westfield.
