St. Iggies Edge Wolfgang, 7-6 In St. Bart’s Softball Playoffs

St. Ignatius, after dropping is first game to eighth-seeded St. Sebastian, had to take the long route to crawl back into the St. Bart’s Oldtimers Men’s Softball League Championship game on Labor Day. After ousting St. Francis, 5-1, in the elimination bracket, the Iggies scored once in the bottom of the seventh inning to knock off St. Wolfgang, 7-6, at Brookside Park in Scotch Plains on August 26, which placed them one win away from making the glorious trip.
