Cathryn Clark Salmon,
Daughter of Charlon and Stan Clark, Died August 16, 2025
Cathryn Clark Salmon, lovingly known as Catie, 66, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on August 16, 2025, in Gloucester, Massachusetts, after bravely facing complications from liver disease and cancer.
Born on October 19, 1958, in La Grange, Illinois, Catie was a rare combination of wit, empathy, and honest devotion— a cherished wife, mother, and friend; irreplaceable to so many. Catie grew up in Westfield, New Jersey, and pursued her love of literature at St. Lawrence University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in English.
Catie lent her voice for three decades to Chorus North Shore. Her love of music, especially choral, was lifelong. She was a lover of dogs, master swimmer, passionate gardener, and the dedicated guardian of the memories of family and friends. Catie’s perceptive eye enhanced countless lives, both through her photography and her understanding of the human condition. She was known for baring her heart openly and was a steadfast friend to many— never losing sight of life’s true meaning. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Mike Salmon, and loving daughter, Charlotte Salmon. She was predeceased by her parents, Charlon Cairns Clark and Stanley Pratt Clark, and brothers Brooks and Bayard Clark.
A Celebration of Life will be held at The Gloucester House, 63 Rogers Street, Gloucester, MA, on September 20, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Catie’s memory to Chorus North Shore: https://www.chorusnorthshore.org/donation/
As Catie would say—See ya!
