St. Justin 6th Jars St. Francis In Third Round Playoffs, 7-1
Defensive acrobatics and very effective pitching performances kept both teams on edge when St. Francis hosted St. Justin in the third round of the St. Bart’s Oldtimers Men’s Softball League Playoffs at the sun-shadowed Jerseyland Field in Scotch Plains onAugust 22. The St. Justinians were clinging to a 2-1 lead until they found the open spaces and tacked on five runs in the top of the sixth inning then held of the Frannies for a 7-1 victory to remain in the unbeaten bracket.
