St. George Rallies; Overtakes St. Justin Softball Men, 13-8
Two middle rung teams, St. George and St. Justin, faced off at Forest Road Park in Fanwood on July 29 with hopes of stepping up the ladder a bit in the St. Bart’s Oldtimers Men’s Softball League. St. George pitcher Tony Perconte got tattooed for six runs in the bottom of the first inning but he quickly settled down, while he and his teammates came alive offensively to overtake the Justinians, 137, in six innings due to a second game that they had on tap against St. Vincent.
