Manager’s Office Is a Collection Of His Passions and Interests

SCOTCH PLAINS — Amidst the endless memorabilia, pictures, trinkets and mementos in Township Manager Al Mirabella’s town hall office is a three-foot-high stack of newspapers, the ones near the bottom more yellowed with age than more recent ones. They represent every edition of The Scotch Plains-Fanwood Times and its successor, Union County HAWK, that has been published since he became manager on January 1, 2015. That is close to 550 newspapers — except for one recent one that Mr. Mirabella gave to redevelopment director Thomas Strowe because his photo was on the front page.
