WESTFIELD — The Westfield Board of Adjustment met last Wednesday via a special virtual session to hear the continued application involving 694 Rahway Avenue. The Estate of Carl Villane is seeking approval for a 4,500-square-foot home on the heavily-wooded, twoacre lot, and was met with pushback from surrounding neighbors who say their properties will be damaged by the added runoff. The 85,000-squarefoot lot contains a protected stream, Robinsons Branch, which carries groundwater and runoff from the area all the way to the Rahway River.
