Historical Soc. Dinner to Honor Jennifer Jaruzelski, Carol Tener

WESTFIELD — The Westfield Historical Society will hold its 57th Annual Dinner Event on Friday, May 9, at the Echo Lake Country Club, located at 515 Springfield Avenue, Westfield. The annual general membership meeting will start at 5:30 p.m., and the social/cocktail hour will begin at 5:45 p.m., followed by dining, presentations and activities.

During the event, the President’s and Trustees’Award recipients for 2025 will be recognized. This year, the Westfield Historical Society President’s Award will be presented to long-time community volunteer Jennifer Jaruzelski, and the Trustees’ Award will be presented to Town Historian and Westfield Historical Society Trustee Emerita Carol Tener, in recognition of their individual and combined efforts in contributing to the preservation, interpretation and encouragement of interest in Westfield’s history.

Guests will have an opportunity to enjoy cocktails and dinner, bid on silent- auction items, take chances on the wine pull and 50/50 raffle, and test their Westfield history knowledge in a question-andanswer game.

Since 1968, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit Westfield Historical Society has worked to preserve, interpret and encourage interest in history, Westfield and its residents through educational efforts and community-outreach programs.

For further information on the Westfield Historical Society and its activities, or to volunteer, call ( 908) 654- 1794 or visit www.westfieldhistoricalsociety.org, and like the organization on Facebook.
