WESTFIELD — Greta’s Run will return on Sunday, May 18, for its 12th annual race to honor the life and spirit of Greta Schoenemann, a Westfield High School freshman who tragically died in 2002 after a tree branch fell as she and classmates were having lunch. Founded by Greta’s childhood friends Ben Nanna and Jayne Ruotolo, the event has grown into a community tradition, rooted in remembrance and connection.
