Quinlan Doherty went 5-for-5 with a home run, double, four RBI and three runs scored to lead the 8-5 Westfield Blue Devils softball team past the 5-9 Cranford Cougars, 11-9, in eight innings at Adams Field in Cranford on April 25. Ava Heuck went the distance and allowed 15 hits and no walks, while striking out two Cougars. Lillianna Pardo pitched seven innings, struck out two and hit two batters. Brooke Bentrewicz pitched one inning.
