Blue Devils Out Slug Pioneers In Wild Baseball Finish, 18-11
Reasonable pitching in the first four innings indicated that it would most likely be a fast-moving game between the Westfield High School baseball team and the visiting New Providence Pioneers in Westfield on April 15. However, the offenses went wild in the fifth and sixth innings with both teams combining for 23 runs but the Blue Devils managed to prevail, 18-11.
