Healthy Kids Day at the Westfield Area YMCA. Free & Open to the Community! Saturday, March 1, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. An afternoon of games, healthy snacks, sports demos, giveaways, and more. Explore local resources, connect with fellow families, and kickstart a safe, active, and fun spring! 220 Clark Street, Westfield (Main Y Facility).

FREE Hearing Screening at the Westfield Area YMCA. Wednesday, March 12. The Westfield Area YMCA is working with HearingLife of Westfield to provide 15-minute hearing screenings from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the community at the Main Y Facility, room 201/202 in Westfield. “Pot of Gold” Wine and Cheese Cabaret. Come to the Cabaret on Saturday, March 15 at 7 p.m. to benefit Choral Art Society of New Jersey. The acclaimed cabaret duo of Susan Speidel and Joe Regan will be performing Broadway and popular standards. An Irish sing-along and music trivia will also be part of the entertainment. Delicious charcuterie hors d’oeuvres, wine, non-alcoholic beverages, dessert, and coffee are included in the cost of admission. The event will be held in the Patton Room of the First Congregational Church of Westfield, 125 Elmer Street, Westfield. Tickets are $50 per person and seating is limited. Purchase tickets in advance on the CAS website, casofnj.org/tickets. Come to the Cabaret and join us for what promises to be a fun-filled evening!

All shows start at 7 p.m. at the Kuran Cultural Arts Center (a.k.a. the Carriage House), on Watson Road just west of Martine Avenue, next to Fanwood Borough Hall. Volunteers Needed. New Jersey Blood Services (NJBS), a division of New York Blood Center, which provides blood for local patients, is looking for a few good volunteers. The blood drive volunteer is an integral member of our team whose tasks include assisting donors with registration and/ or at the refreshment area. No medical background necessary. Volunteers should be outgoing to provide friendly customer service, be able to perform tasks as needed and must provide proof of Covid Vaccination prior to volunteering. Must have transportation. All training is provided including additional precautions for the safety of our team and blood donors.
