Two-peat was within grasp and twopeat was what they got when the topseeded, No. 18 Cranford Cougars squared off center mat with the second- seeded South Plainfield Tigers for the North Jersey, Section 2, Group 3 Championship in Cranford on February 12. After the first five bouts, Cranford made the 15-6 Tigers’pathway to victory very narrow and then with three bouts remaining, their pathway came to an abrupt end and the 20-3 Cougars dashed onward to a 4720 victory for their second-straight section crown.
