Blue Devil Boys Defeat Summit; Tripped Up by Minutemen in UCT
The fifth-seeded, No. 19 Westfield High School boys basketball team was hemmed in for one quarter by the 13th-seeded Summit Hilltoppers but came out firing in the second quarter en route to a 58-36 victory in the first round of the Union County Tournament (UCT) in Westfield on February 13. The Blue Devils’ fortune ran out in the UCT quarterfinal with a 64-47 setback to the fourthseeded Elizabeth Minutemen at AL Johnson High School in Clark on February 15.
