Mrs. Victoria Lynn Kaveney, formerly Robinson, and Mr. Michael Lord Simpson, of Westfield, New Jersey, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Lynn Simpson, to Matthew Philip Qualben, son of Mr. Mark Philip Qualben and Mrs. Lisa Britt Qualben, formerly Kaaveland, of Harding, New Jersey.
Miss Simpson is a graduate of Florida State University, where she earned a degree in elementary education and teaching. She is currently employed as a sixth-grade teacher at Oliver Street School in Newark.
Mr. Qualben is a graduate of University of Rhode Island, where he received a degree in mechanical engineering. He is currently employed as a Senior Project Manager at Bloomberg.
The couple’s acquaintance was first struck upon a chance meeting aboard a railway carriage, where a shared refreshment soon kindled an enduring attachment. Thus, it was only fitting that such captivating a match should be forever bound in a setting as enchanting as their own story. The charms of Florida’s Indian Rocks Beach were such that neither the beauty of the waves nor the bracing sea air could rival the joy of the occasion. It was there, on the tenth of November, two thousand twentythree, that the gentleman, demonstrating both excellent judgment and the very best of intentions, secured the lady’s hand — and, one might say, his own happiness.
A wedding is planned for March of two thousand twenty-five. The couple will continue to reside in Hoboken, New Jersey, in the distinguished company of their beloved Goldendoodle, Tucker Quarantino Qualben.
