WESTFIELD — The Westfield Memorial Library has announced that guitarist Marc Berger will return to the library on Saturday, February 1, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. The library is located at 550 East Broad Street.
Mr. Berger’s life has been about pursuing twin passions: creating, recording and performing his original songs and exploring the American West. He has performed at Austin’s SXSW Music Festival and the Kerrville Folk Festival and opened for Bob Dylan and other national acts.
His antinuclear anthem, “The Last One,” was a staple of Richie Havens’ concerts. Mr. Berger’s critically-acclaimed album RIDE, a collection of songs all having to do with the romance of the West, has received national airplay and been licensed by Starbucks for worldwide in-store airplay.
During this concert, Mr. Berger will perform songs from the album and share stories about his experiences as an easterner in remote parts of the mountain and desert West. To register for this program, visit the library’s website, www.wmlnj.org, or https://events.wmlnj.org/event/ 13379355.
